Please remember one very important factor about sizes. One woman who was considered the ideal model for how all women should look was a size 14 by today's standards.
That woman was Marylin Monroe.
The women's sizes has been redefined since the 1950's several times to include sizes such as 0 and 00, which is crazy.
I only speak of this because I am a man, but men's sizes have been steadily growing since the 1940's. The average size is somewhere between an XL and XXL. I find this to be not only ironic, but also a double-standard.

Have you ever met a woman who is satisfied with their body? I am a size 6 and feel so thin that I sometimes just over eat hoping to gain some meat on these bones. Believe me when you do get thin you will want your size 10 back, that's where I wanna be.

That's who you are! Don't feel pressured by media - they're killing the optimism in society these days.
I'm a size 00 and I get criticized enough from my parents for not being "meaty". But see? This is how I'M BUILT!
So just love yourself and as long as you're HEALTHY and not a size 10-12 and treating your body horribly - You're okay. Now go eat something good or go for a hike :)

I am a size 6 in the UK and still feel huge. It is awful that women can actaully die of this way of thinking.
I have to tell myself that when i get older people are not going to care about how thin i was when i was 20 years old all they will think of is my personality.
Take it from me....a lot of experience......enjoy your life because before you know it you will wish you had.
If you feel sooooo strongly about it i would consider going to your doctor as anorexia develops so quickly

You've got self esteem issues. Society and outside forces are always pressuring you to do stuff. Its where you decide you want to be that matters. If you have a strong sense of self none of the outside influences will matter. If you took away the world for a moment, and looked at yourself in the mirror and decided you look fine, then that should be your opinion. If you're unhappy with yourself because YOU(not other people) are unhappy with yourself, then make a change for the better.

yea I'm a size 7/8 and def feel like I should be smaller...it's hard seeing smaller women, because it SEEMS like that look a alot better than me. but it's all about self image and confidence, as long as your a healthy size 10-12 ...or 16/18 or 3/4 it doesn't matter, eating right and moderate exercise to stay healthly, does matter

Why do you want to be like all those skinny size 6 and 4's. Posh Spice is NOT a good look you know! Your size is considered ideal by most blokes, because it's slim but still curvy, think Kelly Brook! HTH : )
