Cant edit my pictures in Microsoft dig. image.Message....not a supported file format?

Im not sure I am understanding your question. However, I think you are unable to save a picture under a certain format; that is to say, you need to change file formats.
Typical universal formats are gif, jpeg, bmp.
What you would do is go to the program where your image is stored, and under file look for the option to Save As. You can rename the picture and change it to gif, jpeg or bmp. Most likely you would want to save it as a jpeg or jpg file. gif files are usually animated files, have some motion to them, and bmp is a format that wallpaper is saved as. Jpeg is usually what pictures are universally formatted as.
