i am having a long distance relationship and i am certain as to when i am going to meet up with my guy. is it healthy to flirt around with other people around me when at the end of the day i know i love my guy only? i would definately know my limits when im flirting. would it help me out in missing my guy less and getting over the distance?would it help me out in getting less distracted?...or would it spoil the relationship unnecessarily?

If you are really serious about your guy, then the only person you should be flirting with is HIM.

The thing with flirting is that although you might know that there is no chance of a relationship the other person doesn't. Is it really fair to send clear signals of attraction to someone who you have no intention of pursuing? How would you feel if you was on the receiving end? You could also ask yourself how serious you really are about this man if you are prepared to show affection to others when he is not here, after all if he was with you would you do it? No, flirting is cruel. It shows a hard hearted attitude toward others feelings and shows a lack of deep respect and love for the person you would claim to love.

flirting is wrong because too many men are dim witts who take it the wrong way.Just this week in my town a girl almost got raped because at work she was flirting and playing around with this guy who said will you be my girl?she said yeah sure as a joke .well later he tried to kiss her and She thought was a joke too.Well I wont go into what happened after work but as you can imagine she has sort of flirted alot and got him thinking things that were not to be.Its fine to smile. We should smile at every body. However this talk of jokes and goofing off making comments about each others looks. it can lead to hurt feelings and really in a way you are being unfaithful.Just be freindly and sincere with no sexual tones or jokes and you will be fine. Its healthy to have freinds but i have seen flirting go too far .You can also find yourself more and more attracted to one of your coworkers from it and really at the end of the day your boyfreind will seem so far away like he is never coming back.Healthy relationships are usaully the result of hardwork and boundaries and if your in a long distance relationship you need to keep putting your objective in front of your mind.I know this from exsperience see about 18 years ago I should of just not flirted and stayed home but instead I went out and hung out alot and eventaully it seemed like my bf was never coming home so I started having feeling for a guy who was just a freind.Bottom line stupid mistake I would probly still be married to the the first guy if I had been more careful.Flirting seems harmless its not.Guys see it as a way to get to you.hope this helps!

"Gentle" flirtation is healthy whether or not you're in a relationship. It keeps us alive and keeps our self confidence going! Just be care full some guys interpret flirting as loving and then get upset when more doesn't develop! And it's not nice to play with someones emotions

flirting can be a reason for a break up if you are in a relationship, because it creates misunderstanding between the couple but if you flirt with your own guy,it'll definitely create magic n do wonders in your relationship.
