The three parts are in the form of two questions and a request for comments.
First, "why do I seem happiest when I am killing myself (smoking cigarettes)"? Second, "I want to QUIT smoking- so why can't I?" And the third part, "could you please give me comments on how I can quit. Whether your comments are crude or compassionate, please let them be encouraging. THANKS!"

1. This habit is something familiar and familiarity is almost always appreciative, especially when you're a little stressed out.

2. Quitting smoking is VERY difficult.

3. You could put the money that you would use to buy a pack of smokes into a jar instead of actually buying the cigarettes and watch how much money you save. Or, you could get the patch or nicotine gum or you could quit cold-turkey.

I'm not too sure, I've never smoked so I could never understand how addicting it is. But I do know you can't quit until you are ready. And studies have shown that the combination of using medicines and talking to someone is the best way to stop smoking. I know there are a couple of prescriptions you can get to relieve cravings, and the patch. And see if you can find a support group. I also heard on the news the other day that there is a new medicine about to come out that blocks the pleasure signals you get from smoking and in studies people quit smoking easily. Whatever method you use, Good Luck.
P.S.- Everyone I know who has quit smoking successfully, have done it by going cold turkey. What they all had in common: A strong desire to become non-smokers. My sister was tired of the money being spent on it, my Mom quit because when she adopted me I had asthma, she threw out her smokes and never picked up another one. Find your motivator.

1. U r happiest when u r doing it because it is something u enjoy doing.
2-3. Have u been to ur Dr? If u have been smoking for a long time, u may not be able to quit on ur own, and there r many things that can help, but a Dr has to prescribe them. Good luck.
