This answer is not based on religion. I have a philosophy that if you need a girlfriend for sex, then you better go for professional escort services. Sex without love is just lust. And lust does give a hangover. But sex with a loved one does makes you happy. Also please do not consider lust as sin. Lust is a desire which is animalistic, and which we humans have yet to learn to tame. So listen to your conscience, not before having sex, but afterwards. Just ask, " Was it worth it?" and then you will become a more humane person.

Yes you are correct, having sex with anyone whether in or out of wedlock creates a soul tie that is almost impossible to break. It happens even in the case of rape. This is probably one of the reasons we are warned in the Bible not to have sex outside of marriage. Having one or more soul ties outside of marriage can just drain your life away. Its a spiritual thing.
