Jogging burns a lot more calories than walking! But i'm sure you will not expect what you can get just by walking.
Read this;
1-5 minutes walk
If you walk about 1 to 5 minutes, it causes your heartbeat increase from 70 to 100 times per minute, your blood flows more faster and your muscle starts to feel a little hot. If you continue walking more than 5 minutes, your body will burn 5 calories per minute instead of just 1 calorie in a time you relax.
6-10 minutes
Your heartbeat increase from 100 to 140 times per minute. Burned calories increase become 6 calories per minute and the blood pressure got a little bit higher. This will make more bloods and oxygens flow especially to move the muscle.
11-20 minutes
Your body temperature became a little higher and you will start sweating. In a time you walk more faster, the burned calories increasing to 7 calories per minute and you can feel your hard breathing.
Just have a look here http://healthydiettips.blogspot .com for more information and what benefits you can get just by walking.
Have a try!

Walking is less strenous to the bones, joints and muscles. It's also a good way to start out a fitness program. Jogging burns more calories per minute than walking does (mainly because of the vertical up and down motion of jogging) and exercises more muscle groups than does walking alone but it's also more strenous on the body and if done too much too soon, can result in injuries. So start out walking first and as your fitness improves, u can start jogging. Then increase the amount, duration or intensity. Also, if u want to add strenght to your legs, either do weight training or run the hills (if there's any in your area).

Both are good. Walking while playing golf is the best. The reason is the game always takes your mind off exercise but you are getting a great workout over 4 hours. Take up the game and then you will see not too many out of shape people on the course. Jogging takes its wear and tear on you and if you jog over 5 miles at once yourelectolites can get out of balance which can make you grouchy. LSD long slow distances are the best!!!

for obvious reasons, jogging builds muscle, strength and stamina much more than walking.
but both are good exercises.
jogging is for those who wish to take it to the next level.
and then, there would be running.
the only cons i see is that you wear out your shoes. and if it rains, you get wet.
you can wax creative with the pros. (you get to meet interesting people, enjoy fresh air, pick up a dollar every now and then, get to know the neighborhood, break off a kids' fight, show off how fit you are, etc.)

It is actually better for you than jogging because it has been proven that jogging like aerobics creates shock through the body which wears at the joints. Walking is smooth and jerk free, keeping the body at optimum health.

Jogging burns a lot more calories than walking. And brisk walking also burns more calories than just "walking". But jogging is high-impact while walking is low-impact so if you're overweight, jogging may put undue stress to your knees and feet. But if you're not so overweight and "can carry your weight", jogging will be more beneficial to you. Climbing stairs is also beneficial to you and is low-impact. But going down several flights of stairs is high-impact and will be stressful for your knees and feet.
