No this was not your fault it was the fault of the person who done this to your little brother.,Many years ago a little girl who was about 5 would walk past my house every day with her little brother who was 7 months old in a pram even though it was the middle of winter the baby always had on only a singlet and a filthy nappy and he was always crying we knew that he was not being cared for properly and talked about reporting it but never did, early one Sunday morning a couple of weeks later he to was killed as your little brother was and there were other adults in the house who like you could not physically stop this person , and to this day i have never forgiven my self because i could have reported it but it was to late, so you see I have resons to have regrets. The type of person who beat your brother would not have hesitated to do the same to you, i feel so sad for you because you were only five it must be hard to understand that there are millions of thing a five year old physically can't do and this was one of them even if you were 10,15 or 20
this person is very sick and twisted ,nobody messes with that type of person, Turn your regret into determination accept things you cant change, look ahead make something of your life and don't waste your life regretting things that you could not have done anything about
Tonight I'll lay in my bed and think of you and hope that your life is good.

I am sorry that your brother was treated so cruelly. He did not deserve that and I can tell that you still love him very much.

It is the duty of the adults to care for children, not the other way around. You could very well have died yourself if you had tried to intervene. So you did not do anything wrong. Someone else did the wrong so don't allow yourself to bear the guilt of others.

Plan on living a valuable life and you will then have a good reason to have survived. Besides, as long as you are alive your brother will be remembered fondly, as he should be.

It was not your fault. It is time to say good by to him. This is the time of the yr when saying good by to those that have past comes easy er. Make a place just for him in your house and talk to him tell him your sorry and you love him. Then where your ready take something that reminds you of him and send him on to live with the grandmas who will love him forever. I would take this to a pretty place and sit and say by to him.

I hope this helps.

Look, a 5 year old can't be superman or something. You could have been paralyzed. It can happen to a 25 year old, too.
It's not your fault, really.

No way was that your fault. No way should anyone blame you for that either. I am sorry you have had to deal with something like this. Please seek some kind of counseling to help yourself deal with the emotions you are having.. God Bless.

Sweetie, that was not your fault..
You were 5 and scared.
Even if you had been 10, it would still not be your fault.
You must believe this........... as this is a fact.
