Do you think that the converts into Islam have stronger beliefs and knowlege about Islam SOMETIMES rather than those who were born as muslim? Because before to convert they study and are convinced strongly.
(Not asking to give me additional points as to the convert but just have noticed it)

I agree with you, and it amazes me how the female converts (or reverts) I have met are sooo dedicated to Islam. MashAllah. For example, after wearing the hijab the decide to wear the niqab even though it's not an Islamic requirement. That is pretty courageous of them especially these days!

Nope. ther are more muslim scholars in the world with high academics background who is born muslim. some may be bless with knowledge of Islam by God as early as 5. To ans your ques is not entirely blame By God's religion but mere humans behaviour in general.

To reach a certain stage like being a doctor, scientist or any high academically profession you need to have high educational background am i right to say that? The point is all the infomation you need are already available for you in the library or any university you are in. Just like in any Islamic universities in the world, the information you need is available for muslim or non-muslim alike. all the information be it chemistry, biology, banking even specific women queries is available that Islam could provide(no other religion has this intensive educational systems)

So back to your ques on why converts is usually highly knowledgable in islamic studies is becoz you have the drive to know more in what you already known. Most original muslim (not all) have already known Islam but only the basics and with basic is enough for them(ed. prayers, fasting ect) Mere humans behavior is the answer to your ques.

have you wonder why some people is highly educated and you are not? Why some people is far richer then you? Why some people is far dumber and stupid then you? Why others look more prettier then you. Well Different people have different way of thinking and others are lacking and others have more then you. We are mere humans with mistakes and impurity so it incorrect of you to judge others. Only God The All Creator of EVERYTHING knows.

Be well and God Loves you.

Conversion is not easy. That's why I admire converts.

To be able to decide that you will embrace Islam and live a Muslim way of life is something that I respect in all Muslim converts, regardless of their nationality, color, race, or financial status.

I do believe all Western Muslim converts bring a new and fresh view of the religion, because they were brought up in Western-thinking societies and have had privileges in education, sports, hobbies ...etc that other people in less fortunate Muslim environments did not have the opportunity to experience during their lifetime.

At the same time, I've met many Muslim-born and practicing Muslims that do an excellent job communicating the religion and helping their brothers and sisters who have converted with their life-changing experience.

May Allah barek them all...

Yes, I agree that converts (or reverts as everyone is born muslim- on the fitrah) do tend to have stronger beliefs and knowledge sometimes due to studying the religion.

I was born into a muslim family. My parents taught me and my siblings how to pray, fast, read Quran in arabic but we never really understood why.. that's just what we did! My parents instilled in us many distorted beliefs due to cultural influences and their lack of knowledge/education..It was only when non-muslims questioned me at school as to why we do certain things that I really started looking into the reasons and went back to basics.. read a translation of Quran for the first time. Read about the life of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

If what i had found was illogical I would have left the religion but Alhamdulillah what I found was amazing and confirmed the truth of Islam. In fact i feel like a revert in some ways due to having had to do this!

Some of them are, you are right. Being born a muslim sometimes makes it part of your heritage; the cultural, social, economic, ethnic factors that make you who you are. Some muslism just settle for what education gives them about religion and seek no more. To convert to a religion, means you have researched and found answers.
We are to blame for not educating ourselves.
May Allah have mercy on us all.

Yes! I find converts more strong in faith (Islam) due to the knowledge they get from verious authentic sources. Majority of born-muslim do not bother for source or in-depth knowledge!

Knowledge and Faith go hand in hand but more blessed are those who believe in God with knowledge & wisdom.

Sometimes YES, cause they want to convert and interested in it. But some people who are established muslims have a big interest in their religions past.

I agree. Alot of times people who study Islam know alot more about Islam's history than most Muslims themselves!

If they revert to Islam because of conviction, then I totally agree.

If they revert just to get married or some other legal issues, then they are sometimes weak and hollow Muslims.

I think most of them convert because they were in trouble or have some emotional problems and they think Islam may solve it. i.e. many were converted while in jail and study show that so.
