It is possible as long as you aren't currently wanted by your local police or government. Contact the Canadian Embassy and ask them.

Been through this with my boyfriend...

It all depends on what you did... if it's been over 3 years since your last offence, they may let you in.

But be warned, if you try to cross the bored and get "access denied" thats a *bad* thing!

What you can do if apply for permission to enter by getting the correct paperwork from Customs.

Now the downsides:

- It costs alot of money to apply... anywhere from $200-$400 Canadian
- You can still be denied permission
- You have to ask for a specific date to enter the country, You cannot just pop across whenever you like.
- Processing your permisson paperwork to enter can take up to 6 months.

Just look into it. I don't know your exact situation so call Canadian Customs and give them all the details.

If your sentence is done by a minimum of 5 years and it was one crime.

But there is a procedure.

Once convicted, always convicted. Unless you get a pardon, you will be denied entry if they check your I.D.
