Yup, I'm using Rosetta Stone to learn Spanish. It's not cheap, but they have a great money back plan if you don't like it (you get a full refund if you send it back within 6 months). I took Spanish for three years in high school and could barely speak the basics. Furthermore, I forgot it all since I didn't keep up with it. Now, after using Rosetta Stone for about six months on and off, I feel I've way surpassed anything I got in high school. It's really very simple, yet effective. It doesn't even feel like work at all, its kind of fun actually.
I don't know if they have it for Turkish, but maybe. They have it for a lot of languages. Good luck!

I used Rosetta Stone to learn French, but I wouldn't say it's the best program. All I really learned were nouns and attributes, but then again, I wasn't able to complete the course.
I prefer Power-Glide over Rosetta Stone, but I'm sorry- Power-Glide doesn't teach Turkish.

No. The Rosetta Stone is only good for old languages.

I'm a homeschool mom. I haven't used Rosetta stone personally, but I know several homeschool families who have and they highly recommend it. Berlitz is also supposed to be a very good resource for language. Hope this helps!
