Yes it is normal...particularly when we do any meditation which arouses kundalini

If we have lot of negativity in our chakras, and we arouse kundalini, who sends currents of pure, positive purging energy currents into our chakras...the negativity in the chakras is nullified

and this process of purging creates irritation in the mind after meditation.

This will stop if you continue yr mediation and slowly the negativity in chakras will die down.

If you are a beginner, then yes it is normal. When someone start to learn to meditate, it is normal that he or she feels irritable from time to time. It is a process where the body and mind try to adopt to the effect of meditation.

However if you have been doing meditation for more than 6 months and still feel irritable, then seek help from a qualified meditator as you may be doing a wrong technique.

Meditation has technique. You must do the technique correctly to get the best result in your meditation.

Ray Mistery is correct to some extent. My feeling is your concentration is not full. You have to practice more and more and you will feel as if you took a bath in cold water and fresh. Meditate whenever you get time even before sleep sitting on the bed. You will get good sleep. Apart from meditation you should try to forget and remove bad/ill thinking from your mind. Meditation will give you good result soon. Do not get angry and have wavering mind. All the best.

It is the dichotomy between our being so close to our true state of being (peace) and returning to this making of images we call "life". This is why we are admonished to "pray constantly"; That is, to train ourselves to maintain that meditative state always.

I usually feel hyper--energized--if you are stressed out in your day to day life, it can turn into irritability
