I noticed that my 9month old German shepherd bites on the base of his penis and holds on thight till he ejaculates. Is this normal??

LOL. I got a kick out of the answers you've received so far.
Fact is, if your dog is using his mouth instead of his paws it isn't quite masturbation. And if I read websites correctly many guys would love to be able to achieve what your dog is doing if only they were limber enough.
But whether it is a problem or not depends on your dog's attitude toward self-stimulation. If he seems happy and enjoys it but doesn;t do it to excess then he is probably fine. On the other hand if he does it too much or is always doing it in front of everyone then maybe he needs help to overcome his exhibitionist tendencies. Only a doggie shrink (and believe me they do exist) can tell for sure.

My dog who is a female licks herself, you sure he isn't just cleaning himself?? She also has an allergy so she gets kinda itchy down there, maybe same with yours?
