That's a good question I also wondered about southern us accents too, well it's sorta like this i think, see our english in america came from england originally we would've spoken with their accents but we have different words and prononciations because long ago a couple of people could've changed it a bit by creating new words and pronouciatinos a little hard to explain sorry if that didn't make sense why don't you try a history book on languages like latin to so on to english to

Why is the sky blue? Every culture has its own accent however subtle. To other countries, americans have funny accents too.

They have talked with their own dialects since hundreds of years ago, that is, the dialects're spoken with their unique (funny) accents.

Funny?? ...That's the way they are...they were raised to talk and act that way...honestly, they are funny talkers...I sometimes cannot understand them...they eat their words...but in fairness,they speak really fast with a twang and they communicate well with others...(i think!!)
