Its normal for dogs to twitch. Just like humans, when we go into a deep sleep we twiches. Its usually because the brain activities are dreams, and dogs as well... has doggy dreams. My dog twitchs and sometimes he kicks in his sleep.

Dogs dream, and they often look as if they are running in their sleep. He should be OK if he stops when woken. Have a lot of fun with your dog.

He's fine. Almost every dig does this, he's just dreaming. My dog has even growled and howled in his sleep, though usually he just twitches.

It is totally normal..... Just as you dream, So does your dog. If you watch sometimes they will jump with both back legs they will run with all feet. It is all realated to the dreams they are having. I suppose it is possible that jsut as our legs get twitches when over exerted ,,,so wil theirs. But I have mostly observed my Rottie Moving his feet as if he was running.

He's just dreaming. Be careful about waking him up while he's dreaming, though. He could be disoriented for a second and bite you (unintentionally).
