met a girl 18 years younger than me on internet dating site, im 42, we have talked loads and meet next week, we love each other allready and we get on great, neither 1 of us is unnatractive or desparate, ive never experienced anything like this could it really work in real life?? its kinda scarey, thanks

it could possibly work......if both of you were honest about everything you told each other.......but most people, when talking to someone online, present themselves in a way to appear better than they really are in real life.......the last thing someone wants to do is tell someone else all the bad things about themselves!!

it is possible that it could work but no you can't fall in love without meeting in real life. The most you can do is fall in lust. You can't really love someone until you truly know them and to truly know them you must know their faults and when you have only corresponded through the internet you only show half of who you are and usually very little faults. But what starts as extreme lust can turn into true love if you are okay with each others faults (and everyone has faults so don't fool yourself)

To me that is infactuation because you dont really know the person well and happened fast right now the both of you are like a character bot really knowing who the real person but you should meet because that is the only way to really get to know each other fully and use percaution but its not desperate to meet on the internet just be careful and really get to know the person and who they really are dont cloud your judgement

Yes, I met my wife online, we chatted for a month or so before I flew across country to visit and we've never been apart since and I couldn't be happier three years later. She was only 3 years younger than me though.

It can work.. But, what is important is the time you spend togther in reality.
I mean the internet made it easy to know each other ideas and thought. But, then, comes the way of life and habits..
