You can do all of that on-line. I challenged mine and several things were removed. They will investigate anything you say doesn't belong on there, even things that do belong on there. If the agency that placed them there doesn't respond back then the credit bureau will automatically remove it. It's amazing how easy it is. You can do a search with a search engine for credit repair.

I work for a mortgage company and I see this all the time. You need to write or call the 3 credit reporting agencies and first ask them for help directly.Experian, Equifax and Transunion. They will be more than willling to help you. Then you need to ask them to put a fraud alert on your credit report because someone has your information and it will probably happen again. As far as books go I'm not sure, but these things you need to do immediatly. The inquiries if you have a copy of yur report should have 800 numbers and you can asked to be taken off the lst. It is an automated thing like telematketers.

All you have to do is purchase your 3 in 1 credit report from www.equifax.com and follow the instructions to dispute negative information on your credit report.

Many of the companies that put negative information on your report throw away that information after a short period of time. In order for a negative item to stay on your report the disputes you open have to be resolved within 30 days or the item has to come off of your report. When you dispute the accuracy of the information many of the accounts will not be able to verify the information and therfore the negative entry will have to be removed from your report. This will clean up a bunch. The stuff that they are able to verify will stay on the report. This is the ONLY way to remove items from your report and clean up your credit.

I was able to get to 595 from 489 in just one day and from 489 to 748 in just a few week; that's pretty fast in my book. Good luck!

These are the two books EVERY AMERICAN needs in their arsenal.

Of course, they should read them in their entirety.

After this, you will have enough artillery to deal with almost every conceivable debt situation imaginable.

You will find these at your local library or Barnes & Noble Store (or its equivalent).
