I came here as an immigrant and petitioned by my employer working as a nurse. After few months of work I decided to get maried and since he live in other state I am the one that will move to where he is. So, I will buy out my contract which means I'll pay the money that is being stated in the contract if I don't finish it. Just wondering if it can affect my status as an immigrant.

The laws concerning immigration to the US are complex. I best suggestion would be to call INS. Explain what is going on and ask if they will approve/authorize you to be eligible to marry and move to another state. INS will need to do an investigation.
Is the man you want to marry a US citizen? It could make a difference.

When u get married, u lost the previous status. U will depend in your husband because he is your petitioner. he needs to prove that he can support u and whatever u are bringing with u.Make him sign everything, because is a lot of husbands here blackmail women in order to get financial advantage. Sign a prenuptial agreement, specially if he do not have a decent job, a house and likes to spend money likes is not tomorrow. If he have a bad credit, buyer be aware! make financial planes very clear, because is a lots of crooks, just waiting for a foreign hard working person to land here to take full advantages!

I think you will be ok. Consult a lawyer for the best, correct answer. Or just call the immigration dept. They know.
