Don't you follow current events...or is the "good news" from 2000 years ago enough for you?

Do you mean David Kou, or David Kuo.... as in the president's Faith Based Initiative program?
Ok... as they're both connected to Christianity.
I think it's a heck of a blow to the Republican party, but then again, it's just the truth coming out. You ought to see some of the statements made against some of the non-Christian groups trying to get funding for faith based programs. I think that there are one or two Jewish programs being funded, and maybe a couple from other major religions, but while Christianity is not the majority religion of the world, and while a vast number of those claiming Christianity in the U.S are non church-goers, and many that go to church do so perhaps twice a year, still the Christian church vastly receives funds out of proportion to their representation of faith groups in the U.S. They will probably claim that they are the best qualified, or have the best infrastructure or whatever, but the truth is that the Government secretly is funding religion and the promulgation thereof.
Saying they don't preach religion in their programs, individually christians are called to witness. They may not distribute tracts or bibles, but individuals will not be hindered from witnessing on at least a personal level, offering to pray for people or telling them about their faith when baited to ask. In the Bush administration, there are two goals that can be stated in one phrase: Make the world a Christian democracy.
Frankly, I'm fed up.

Okay, so enlighten us about David Kou. You probley know more about him than I or obviously many others do. I know he's a proclaiming Christian and a few things, but haven't delved into it much. So, what's your point?

Answering about avatars is more fun ^.^ lol
Anyway, we aren't oblivious to the world around us. Some may be, but most aren't. Don't go around judging people when you know nothing about them. I'll pray for you, Val
EDIT: i like Bush....
