I stay at his place, but I pay for my own way and try to pay or make sure his needs are satisfide. But I begining to realize that I'm not up to par as to what he's always had. Is it that what his relation ships were before were'nt for him? Maybe I'm different even though either one of realize this may be what we've both been needing?

There are several ways to tell , does he act like he has respect for you/ Does he listen to you when you talk to him? Does he ever come and ask your opinon on desisions in his life? Do you two talk to each other? There are alot of different ways to tell. Listen i wish you good luck no matter which you find.

It's hard to judge by your words. For instance, how did you "come to par that you're not what he's always had"? Second, why would you even compare it to what he's always had? You're a whole other relationship, a new chapter, nothing should compare. Maybe it's you that wants to be with him so that you won't be lonely.

If you look in the mirror and feel that person is not worthy of love then you aren't worthy. Love thy self first then every body else (those that count) will love you too. Also stop comparing yourself to his past girlfriends, if they are what he wants that is who he would be with.
*P.S: No man would give a woman he didn't care about the keys to his place.

Stop trying to over analize the situation! If he pleases you and you enjoy pleasing him. Just let it be and only good things will come from it.
I had a girl who I really cared for but.... She started with this crap about Do I really car? I did and I told her but... She kept on keeping on and now we are done.
Guys for the most part do not show thier emotions as easily as women do. If he says he cares, he does. Dont turn it in to a production and dont nag about it. Just let it go!

What exactly do you mean by "not up to par"?
Why would you put yourself down like that?
As far as why your partner likes to have you around - why not ask him?

You have very low self esteem. You must see your self for the beautiful person you are.
