what are the white horses for???

at race meets when the race horses are going into the stalls. what are the white ones doing there?

Those are usually outriders. The horses don' t always have to be white. Outriders ride out in front or behind the horses in the post parade. Their job is to assist getting the horses to the gates and to catch horses that get loose.

they are called walking pony just assisting the jockey getting the race going walking pony's
