I know that GOD is only holy and good. I myself am not. HE made me capable of either great good or great evil depending on my own choices. I have wished at times that GOD would put me into holy autopilot when I faced temptations due to my own lusts but that is not what he does. The choice has always been and will always be mine. In Noah's day the world became so corrupted and violent that GOD saw that without an intervention there would be no life left on the planet. Rather than destroy his entire creation he decided to salvage what he could and rebuild from the ashes. He was grieved that we had become what we are but not in the sense that he had made a mistake in the creation of man. GOD does not need to repent of his actions but is sorry over ours. The next intervention was not the destruction of life on earth but the coming of His SON, Jesus to die for our sins and make it possible for us to enter into His eternal kingdom.

Gen 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Gen 6:6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
Gen 6:7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. KJV

If God has foreknowledge of everything, why would God ever regret something He did, namely the creation of man? Logic does not reconcile for me.

Good question!!

I don't know where you got that information. I know God never repented for making man. You show me where in the bible it says God repented. He made man and woman perfect. Sin is what makes us imperfect. Lucifer was also a perfect angel. Iniquity is what made him imperfect. Where did iniquity come from? That is the greatest mystery of all. If your referring to Gen.6:7 it says "for I am grieved that I have made them." Have you ever made your parents so mad that they probably felt the same about you? I know that I have and I know that God was probably upset with me too. But I thank God for John 3:16 and I thank Jesus for laying his life down for us. How could it be that this King Jesus would lay down his life for us? he certainly is worth being my King. Amen

Yes he did.as the Humans and all animals alive at the time were still more into enjoying the pleasures of the Physical bodies that their souls had become stuck in and forgot were they came from.
Noah was able to find favor with God and was allowed to try and save some of what was in the hope that things would turn out better.

I believe in a Sovereign god who created everything, good, evil, and completely is in charge and knows what he is doing all of the time. I really don't know who he would be repenting to. You need to read different translations of the bible and get different pastor, preacher, or priest opinion on this one...I'm not sure what the writer of that passage was trying to say.

Repent Definition
1. To feel remorse, contrition, or self-reproach for what one has done or failed to do; be contrite.
2. To feel such regret for past conduct as to change one's mind regarding it. repented of intemperate behavior.
3. To become a more moral or religious person as a result of remorse or contrition for one's sins.

He didn't make a mistake, man made the mistake.

I believe that the scripture means God was SORRY, not repentant. He was sorry because man, after being created, was messing up.

That is a good question. If you are referring to Noah's ark, God became angry with man. But just like you say things when you are angry that you don't mean, God didn't mean that he goofed up, but rather was angry that man had turned their back on him. Like if your boyfriend or girlfrimd starts treating you bad, you feel like you don't want to be with them for a while, even though you love them.

Q.#a million God gave mankind freewill. guy chosen to do except God directed and wanted for guy. God is sorry FOR mankind. God is sorry synthetic the incorrect determination. get mutually: someone provides me the alternative between having some loose apples or loose tomato's. i decide on the tomato's. when I ate the tomato's the acid in them gave me an disillusioned abdomen. the man who gave them to me might want to be sorry that I made the incorrect determination. Q.#2 Repented..As in "replaced recommendations." the human beings might want to have replaced their poor habit so the Lord determined now to not punish or "do evil" to the human beings.

Bingo, that shows also that he does not interfere in what we do and that we control what happens. IE-no devil, no saints, only humans who make mistakes and god is there to comfort us if we are hurt, not to shelter and protect us from each other.
