in jail before? if sooo were they behind glass? i mean i want to go visit a friend but not sure how the enviroment would be. behind glass or not?

Where I live, the pre-trial facility has its prisoners behind glass. Everyone has to use a phone to talk to the inmate. Some of the phones are not in good working order. In the other prisons, it depends on the prisoner. If the prisoner is hard to handle or has commited a violation in the prison, you may have to visit while they are behind glass.
I have friends who are involved in work in the prisons and it seems to be different everywhere.

Depends on where he is in jail at or if he is in prison instead of a jail/ Most jail visitation rooms seperate the visitor and the inmate with a glass partition however most prison visits are in the open and are only warched over by the gaurds ubkess it is a high security prison,

I have visited two different friends two different jails.. One was behind glass the other we sat across from each other at a table.. It depends on whether the jail you are going to is a maximum security or minimum security which would depend on the crime committed.....
