well, taekwondo is taught around the world. but just some countries aint really see the important in it but the orginal is actually from Korea cuz it is a korean martial art. I think taekwondo is more popular than karate.

I know of at least 58 countries (as to what countries they are, I'll leave that research to you though), not including the U.S. that Tae Kwon Do is taught.
There are also at least 200 separate Tae Kwon Do organizations and affiliations throughout the world.

PEOPLE PEOPLE PEOPLE you guys dont know what you are talking about.Taekwondo is all over the world.the last three years i went to champions chips.2004 junior world champs 84 countrys a week after that a Taekwondo festivale 54 countrys. 2005 Korea Open there was about 67 countrys and this year 2006 over 45 countrys.so there is alot af countrys that is doing Taekwondo.i am or i was in the South African team for the last 8 years and Taekwondo is in my blood since i was 5 years old that means i am doing Taekwondo for 14 years now and been to 5 countrys.4 that is overseas i am in curently in Korea for training. but goodluck
