Humans. We crawl in the morning (beginning stages), walk in the afternoon (middle) and then at night (late life) we use a cane and walk with 3.

It's humans. But you have it wrong it's 4 in the morning, 2 in the afternoon and 3 at night.

an old riddle, but a good one. It is man, human, homo sapiens, or woman. Four legs in the morning is a baby, which crawls, 2 in evening is as an adult who walks, and 3 legs at night is as an old geezer who needs a cane.

morning is related with the early years of our life when we were born .
Evening is compared to our middle age years &
Night is compared to the years when we are aged and old & need a stick as a support to walk.
