When I apply the formula to other cells G2 changes to G3,G4,G5 I want to remain the same. How can I do this? Thank you

To lock the reference precede the row or column you want with a dollar sign ($). So if you want to lock the column but now row you would enter the formula like so: =(A1+B2)*$G2 if you want to lock the row and column it would look like this =(A1+B2)*$G$2

+A1+B2*$G$2, the dollar signs fix the reference point to cell G2

=A1+B2*$G$2

The dollar signs give you a fixed cell. G2 will stay fixed no matter where you copy the formula.

Enter it as $g$2. That is the way to do an "absolute" reference, as opposed to a relative reference.
