Is there a really good reason why the USA should not enforce border security? I don't see it as racist as some have suggested. I do not think the Northern border has many issues, do you?

Trade war? Is that another scare tactic, or are you serious? Explain more on how securing our border is emotional first of all (jealousy) and how you believe that the USA is mostly a white nation. Because the last time I looked, it was pretty diverse!

These are the real racists that would destroy America with open borders.

There's some pro-Mexico advocates out there that have like, a whole box of race cards they're more than willing to throw at anyone that dares mention securing the border, blunt and bitter truth be known, Mexico's a pretty screwed-up country that can't handle its' own problems, and our country seems to be their safety valve.
I read that remittances to Mexico/Central America this year alone measured some 45 billion dollars. Fair amount of money, by anyone's calculation. The talk about closing the border has got em screaming bloody murder! LOL

The U.S. because i don't see any racist questions in the spanish or mexico immigration section or in any section of yahoo! Answers. The only place i see racist questions and answers is in the U.S section of Yahoo! Answers. Then look at all the people making the racist questions, answers and jokes. What are they? If they're making fun of mexicans or any other "minorities" they must be well white(no offense).

We are not being racist by securing our southern border. We should also secure our northern border. If someone wants to visit or migrate to America then let him/her do it the legal way in the same manner as my mother and father did 85 years ago.

There are many issues on the northern border but not near the southern border. No, America is not racist by protecting its people from outsiders of all ethnicities.

Racist? Against who? Mexicans? Baloney. The Northern border with Canadians? They don't want to live in the United States! That's the difference.

It's not racict. The pro illegals are trying to make it a racist thing to try and swing the vote of minorities. They know they have already lost this battle and this is a last resort tactic. All this is about is securing the nation from illegal immigrants. Ilegal immigrants are criminals. Illegal immigrants are bringing drugs, weapons, and financial burdens to this country. We can't ensure that they have a good life until we take care of our own citizens.

i do not think that securing the Southern Border more, is racist. I think it is being smart. Would you really want some illegal mex to get social security and citizenship when they did nothing to earn it and just jumped over the fence? As for me I think the damn immigration service should make it a law to read, write and understand English, or have at least 2 years of ESL taken at school or college in order to get a citizenship. Or you get 90 year old grandmas and grandpas comming over here with thier families, and get citizenship by having a translator with them at the exam. I think that is just totally unexeptable!

No the USA is not being racist. There are many freeloaders that cross our borders illegally. They come in search of jobs and free handouts taking much of our hard earned tax dollars to support them and their family. I am sure some are looking for a better life and they have this right, but not at our expense. I do believe in helping others in need and they should earn the money it takes to help them. Many come to receive free medical treatment when many of legal US citizens have to strain our income just to get minor medical treatment. This just doesn't seem fair to those of us that pay our HIGH taxes and then see it given to someone who hasn't earned it.

The issue is really not the Mexicans coming to work in this country. The Farmers in Texas, Arizona and other States have really come to depend on illegal Mexicans to do cheap hard labor. The issue with insecure borders are with terrorist. We need to secure the borders from terrorist. That is all there is to it. If you want to live freely in this country the Terrorist must be stopped. We need to stop the people against this country that are already here and we definitely need them from walking across the border freely.

It is not racist to apply things to problems perceived. There are statistically way more illegals from the southern boarder than the northern. Seems like canadians prefer to do things legally.
I don't care what country you come from, you should come legally, not illegally.
If our laws were more enforced and more laws made, we would not even need boarder patrol because the illegals would not want to stay even if they did come here.
We need to enforce the employee hiring laws requiring legal ID's. We need to set laws and standards on wiring money, US government benefits, and purchasing, and getting credit and accounts.
