I have the best neighbors in the world. They do so many nice things for me and recently they watched my dog while I was out of town. What is something that I can do for them to show my appreciation? The are a married couple with three girls who are as sweet as they are. I cant spend a ton of money, but I would like to do something nice for them that would not indicate reciprocity... What do you think? THANKS

I was going to say offer to baby sit for them, but someone beat me to it! I will say it anyway! Offer to babysit so they can have a night out by themselves. Doesn't cost you anything but your time, and at the cost of sitters these days, you would be giving them a nice gift!

You both sound like nice neighbors!

Neighbors like that really exist? If I left my dog with the neighbor they'd poison it. Its nice that people like that aren't imaginary. You could bake them something. Or give them a nice plant. I'm still in shock.

We have a neighbor that is so very nice also. We have not been neighbors for very long, but we noticed that she enjoys gardening, so we bought her a lavender plant for her yard. Find out what your neighbor likes to do, and offer a token of appreciation that fits their hobby or interests. Consider yourself very fortunate, good neighbors can be hard to find.

Get them gift certificates to McDonalds. They will be forced to use them and they definately would be able to. I do this for all the parents with kids in my neighborhood who have helped me out or done something similar. Parents sometimes feel guilty for accepting payment when they are just helping out but will be more than willing to do something for their kids. Get what I mean?

I would make a snack basket - popcorn, cookies, candy, crackers, etc. And maybe put in a free movie rental card. Put in a thank you card - and just tell them what it means to you to have such nice neighbors.

I would invite them over for dinner, give them a thank you card and let them know how you appreciate their kindness. Ask them if there is something that you could do for them.

You could cook them a great dinner!

You could help them fix things in their house!

Give them a great Party!

All the above don't cost too much money, but they show you care!

I make things out of wood, if you do a craft make them something, take them out for dinner, or make them a cake, and most important way to repay them is make sure that they know if they need a favor you will do it for them.

Cook them dinner or take them to dinner. Nothing fancy, just a nice place where everyone can have a meal....
