Boy you better be booking the hotel room right now! I wanted to go about 2 months ago, and all the brand name hotels were already booked out. I had the option for a couple though, which has a few room left. Most people who attend Mardi Gras book 1 year in advance. And be prepared to pay HUGE rates, especially since you'll be booking now. Don't even think about coming to New Orleans during Mardi Gras without hotel reservations. You won't find a room at all, you'll be on the streets. Trust me, I've known people that have done that, lol. As for where, I would check Yahoo! Farechase. It's the best because it searches EVERY airline company and those cheap airlines companies too like JetBlue and etc. Book an hotel and Airfare together, you'll save. Although before you leave make sure you call up the hotel and confirm your reservation, sometimes hotels don't recieve notice and they forget to book you. It's tricky when your booking through 3rd parties, I personally always book directly with the hotel-- but 3rd parties are cheapest. Good Luck!

Contact a travel agent for a good deal. I bet they can be very helpful.
