I disagree. A legit police Officer would pull someone over for either a traffic violation, reasonable suspicion, or given probable cause to do so.
All agencies are bound to record who they pull over, and record their sex, (M/F) and ethnic background.
This is due to a federal law passed a few years back to keep track of what agencies are doing what. Kind of like Big brother thing. These stats are followed up by the FBI.
If a Police Dept is doing their job and keep up with all those records they can see if certain Officers are pulling over certain age group and or Ethnic group. and since now days the digital world is all around us everything the Ofc says and do is video taped and voice recorded. As well as the person that he/she has pulled over.

Don't know for sure about the younger drivers. I never had that problem when I was younger.

I did have a 1978 Cameo Z28 and that car was a cop magnet. Fortunately I was a good driver and didn't get pulled over but they were always ready to pounce!

Do you know what the most dangerous animal on the planet is? A human male between the ages of 17 and 25. Statistically, young males are more likely to be doing something worthy of investigation. Hot cars, especially red ones attract the cop eye, well really they attract all eyes. I mean, that's kind o' the point, right?

Answer to both questions is yes, according to my experience. Policemen think that young people are more reckless (which is only partly true) and people with better cars do more stupid thing on the road(which is again arguable).

you would also think that a sports car would be pulled over more, but I was pulled over lots more when driving a piece of ---- than I ever was when I was driving a red mustang.

I get pulled over for no reason and I am sick of it. I just get told they are checking for whatever when they don't have a reason. I told one cop that he needs to go out and find the drug dealers on the street where he pulled me over instead of picking on people trying to go to work.

I would say absolutely on both counts. Because younger drivers are more likely to speed and be reckless, and hotter cars are more likely to have drivers that love speed and recklessness. It's just how it is honey, don't be mad...
