I admire the amount of faith a lot of folks have on this forum. What gives you that faith...in your own words (not scripture)?

Thanks!

For me I practice Wicca, Don't assume its evil, those are Satanist! I study, herbs, stones, astrology, divination, (Tarot & Runes). Keeping up my moral standards, self respect and self disapline. Making sure I don't push my religion onto others. Then I would be just as low as others who attempt to force a beliefe on another. I will not force my children to be as I am, They will grow and believe as they wish. However I do plan on making them learn about different religions on all school breaks! That way they will understand people for who they are, not for what they believe. Its about morals, no matter what you believe.Teaching my children the vaule of life, not the value of blind faith.

Hi,

Life as we know is not a bed of roses. There are difficult situations to tackle with almost daily. Tell me, if you were in a real problematic situation and you trusted God to make things right and when things were made right how would you feel deep within? Certainly overjoyed, peaceful and thankful. I have had so many situations like thees in my life..so this is what motivates me to be faithful..For I know God can do what I can't do.

Everyone is given the measure of faith.... where we place that faith is what makes the difference. What motivates me to be faithful to my Lord is the pure love that he has for us. More pure than any love this world has ever known before or since....my devotion to my Lord is unconditional... He has given me the greatest thing that anyone could ever offer... peace joy and the blessed assurance of my salvation.

Nothing nor no one can even come close to that... and my devotion to him is eternal.

God bless you

knowledge is the key, when you know the word of God, you follow it, by knowing where you go, your life will have a purpose you'll will feel you are not on your own, when you know God is watching your back, then you feel your faith grow. many people believe in God(their brains registered that but their heart doesn't), but have no faith, it sounds crazy, but you trust God only with spiritual issues, when it comes to finance, school, work or relationships, one makes the terrible mistake in thinking God can't help. once you discover how to trust God and have faith in him and walk as straight as possible then there is no heartbreak or harsh situation that will make you stumble. you can fall but you can't break. You will see what you never saw before and you will hear words you never heard before and you will praise in words you have never spoken before and the power of such faith will keep you going for the rest of your life grateful to an awesome God. Hungry for his word and touch, eager to spread around the joy only his Love can give. You can't do nothing to repay what he did for you. The best you can do is being willing to learn how to walk the talk, you might fall the trick is to get up and stand tall. I don't expect nothing in return as long as I have breath left in me I will proclaim his word and share my joy with others, my reward is knowing that I can serve my God, he called my name and I already said "Here I am" have you?Now is the time for you too, stop admiring others, dive n the word of God he is waiting with open arms for you, that joy and love is not only for other people it is for you, it is about time that you enjoy his promises, his treasure, his peace and his protection, you are precious in his eyes, he knows exactly how many tears you have shed and how many smiles you have given away. he knows you are tired of searching, he is calling you to come home. By this question he is knocking on the door of your heart, open the door and let him in, feel his love and feel his presence cause he is with you, you only have to acknowledge him in your life.
hope you accept the wisdom of God so you can to understand and live the words.

in Jesus name I pray, Amen

i didn't used to be... for a very long time i was an atheist. then i began to become spiritual again, and i became involved in wicca. i see a lot of similarities between judaism and wicca, so it wasn't a very big stretch that i would eventually become interested in it. then i slowly began drifting back to judaism. what really clinched it was a poem i read by a holocaust survivor, describing the statue of a dead child, who pleaded with us not to forget our faith, which millions of our ancestors died for.

These hollow mute stone forms
This courtyard now adorn,
Their each and every size
To sounds of bells gives rise
"Keep your faith" they whisper
And thus avenge our demise."

and so i thought, i'm going to be jewish, just because i can, when all of my ancestors couldn't. it honours them.

I find the religion suits me and I need something outside of this world to hang on to.

It's like being faithful to a boyfriend/husband I guess.

I don't bust my tail for empty religion, in a vain attempt to gain access to God by doing "good deeds", hoping that's good enough.

Nothing can get rid of the fact that I am a sinner. every one is.

I follow Christ because He bore my sins and took from me the punishment that I desirve- hell.

I follow Christ because He forgave me of my sins and provides the only way to God...

I follow Christ and do good deeds - not in order to be saved, but because He saved me when I accepted Him.

Christ is my life, He is the goal of my life... not temporal earthly things that give no satisfaction or hope.

It takes more faith to believe in Evolution than it does to be a Christian.

God bless you and yours.

What could happen to me if I stop trying to do God's will and go back to doing whatever I wanted. I would be dead in less than a year. This is what motivates me to stay on course.

I am constantly seeking ways to "try" to repay my Saviour for saving me...although i will never be able to repay Him for dieing for me and them saving me.

All He asked us to do before He was crucified was to feed His sheep...to go out in the highways and hedges and tell people of the good news. Thats what motivates me to be faithful.

What motivates me to follow my faith it the chance of going to heaven, and to be part of something that is bigger than me.
