No, God did not create sin. God is holy and He would not create that which is contrary to His nature. God created the conditions where free will creatures would be able to make a choice between obedience and disobedience to God. Adam and Eve, having been made by God without sin, listened to the devil and chose to sin against God.

An analogy can be found in the relationship between a parent and a child. A parent can create the condition that makes disobedience possible yet the parent remains innocent if the child sins.

I think that in most teachings, sin is a falling away from God's favor, not really a tangible thing to have been created. Because man has free will, he can follow God or not...choosing not to follow God's will is "sin."

Another way to look at it is relativistically - there can be no good without evil, and no favor without ill will. One can't be redeemed if he hasn't sinned.

He didn't create sin, He actually despises and hate it. Those who sin are vulnerable to his wrath. He allows sin to happen, which entered our lives when Adam and Eve sinned against him in the Garden of Eden. That's why humanity is "cursed" and born with sin. But by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, you will receive favor in God's eye, and will be saved.

God didn't create sin. Lucifer (satan) was one of God's angels, but lucifer thought that he would make a better god. This rebellion sent lucifer to hell as the first fallen angel, becoming satan. When God created Adam & Eve satan tempted Eve to sin against God, which she did. Adam followed Eve in this act. Thus, sin was born.

Sin is the opposite of God. It is a failure to love.

God created choice so people could CHOOSE to love Him. He could have created people who only knew to love Him, but that's not real love if there's no option. Like the bird in the cage... God bless you. ~Nise~

great question....hmmm first lets all pretend in god like my kid does with santa.....ok...if there was----myth-"god is all knowing
"..b-s.. then god knew what satan would do by tempting eve even before satan himself did, so a)god isnt all knowing b)god cant even control his own creations,or doesnt care too. either way..the end result is..god IS responsible for sin and if you believe the churchies he will punish you for it..sorta like giving your child poison and then beating him for playing with it..my advise is to read some physics, and cosmology books and read up on some m-theory and let this god thing go....p.s any christians wanna try to defend the johnah and the whale story..wait...are those santas foot steps on my roof..

God didn't create sin, it is the result of our own self-indulgence, aka pride.
