YYou do realize that fetuses at the abortion stage have the consciousness of a lizard, they don't yearn for a future life, and if the could vocalize anything it would be I want food, re-connect me to the placenta. I can understand the cherishing of life, but if you cherish life so much, then you should never kill a living being, don't even take anti-biotics because that bacteria has a consciousness and potential, right?

The difference between bacteria and a baby in the womb, is that the baby is a living soul at the moment of conception....bacteria is just that! My goodness! Get real!

A baby is a baby is a baby... it is Human and has its own DNA therefore it has its own seperate rights. If you consider that a person is more than just the fleshly body, then you must concede that the unborn baby is a person spiritually (and that completely) as the body being formed within the mother matures. It is not about a piercing or cutting away fingernails, both of which concern only the mother's body or even on a par with appendix or a tumor both of which are also about only the mother's body and her right to choose... It is a completely seperate and different person! So, I hope you do realize that a fetus is a human being with its own arms and little legs and brain and heart and all the rest... AND the right to life once it has been started... If you want to crusade to kill somebody, why not go after guilty ones, such as pedophiles or serial murderers etc and leave the poor innocents alone and let them have a chance at living...?

What does it matter the thought process of a fetus at given time until birth? The moment of conception that fetus which is just a cell is given a soul, that's the importance and reason for not killing it. I get scared when people think it's ok to snuff out a life cause it would seem that the person doesn't fit into anothers idea of what makes a person valuable. You can kill something like bacteria cause it doesn't have a soul and is harmful nor does it have a mind. I can only hope that you or people with your line of thinking never fall into a situation where someone decides your life isn't of any value and decides to take you out. I also fear for your loved ones who won't have your full protection cause you don't see the full value of life.

Let's put it this way. If the human has the conscience of a lizard are you making distinctions based on their consciousness? If the human did not yearn for the future, are you making distinctions based on their future plans? If the human were mute and hungry, are you making distinctions based on speech and state of hunger? Lets also look at equality between human beings young and old and other living things that humans depend on to eat and survive with. If everyone aborted pregnancies, how long do you think humans could survive? Same question regarding the consumption of other living things?
You may think that humans at the abortion stage have the consciousness of a lizard, but I think there are a lot of people that are out there that are at that level.

The whole Idea of abortion being cool is missing the point completely I think. The abortion is going to happen anyway because a young woman is not going to ruin her whole life to raise a baby that she didn't want. The point of it not being illegal is that that way the girl will be safer. I do believe that if she leaves it too late.. it should be just too late.

Did you ever hear this?
Don't kill the Dr. performing the abortion, he's just doing his job.
If you want to stop abortions, Kill the Mother.
THAT will stop abortions.
Yes, then the fetus will die, but it's gonna die anyway, so it might as well go down with the ship.
I like that way of thinking!
With so many people who would give anything for a baby to love and raise, why choose abortion?
The woman who gives birth, and lets someone more capable than her raise her baby is a real mother. She didn't get rid of an inconvenience, she gave it life.

I believe that all life deserves respect, and I would not kill a lizard. I'm a vegetarian. The thing is, in order for all species to survive, some things have to be killed, but that is the only time it is acceptable to take another life, in my opinion. So for example, if the baby is threatening the life of the mother, then an abortion is permissible. But otherwise, an abortion is not right in my opinion.

Nice, and I like your rejoinders as well. This is the trap pro-lifers fall into. Many many pro-lifers decide on "quality of life" issues when an elderly or extremely sick relative has to be taken off life support. The parents of the last girl to die in the Amish shootings did so. They took her home to die. Nobody said boo.

Mothers who choose abortion are making the same decision just at an earlier stage. All life is NOT sacred, our lines are just in different places.

that is the dumbest comparison in the world.
Really. if you think abortion is ok then what ever, it is,, unfortunately legal still.
But what is the point of your pathetic argument?
to tell or convince me that I should be okay with a women or girl aborting a life because they know nothing else and no one bothers to tell them what they should or should have done to prevent it.
If people like you spent more time teaching morals and what to do to avoid pregnancy then Abortion would be a non issue. now wouldn't it?

So you want to compare a human being with a bacterium as an argument for abortion, right?

I look forward to a question or challenge that actually makes sense.
