It depends on where you live for how much one session cost. However one session won't do to much you have to go 3 to 4 times to get good results. I don't think it will make your hair lighter. If you have a little bit of freckles you will get more in the tanning bed but a lot of beds have where you don't have to tan your face. Your first time you should only stay in for about 15 to 20 minutes at the most. When you go your first time tell the person at the front desk and they will let you know everything! Hope that helps.........

I can help answer your questions, but remember that this is based on my experience.

1. The cost depends on the area that you live in, the salon that you go to, their professionalism, and what package you get. In my area you can buy by the minutes, the hoursd, or a discounted package if you signed up for a whole month. A month in a 26 bulb bed costs me $40, in a 40 bulb bed it costs me $50. I suggest tanning in a 26 to get started (for one month) and then tan in nothing but a 40.

2. Yes, tanning will lighten your hair some but not very much. If it is lighter that you want, then I would suggest having it done professionally or coloring it at haome.

3. Tanning will NOT darken your lips, but it will dry then out. I suggest putting on a moisturizer or wearing Chapstick when you get into the bed. This will prevent drying and painful cracking.

4. The firt time that you go, go in 3 minutes. No joke. 3 minutes. After about a week of daily tanning at 3 minutes go to 5 or 7. Then go to 7 or 9. Deepending n how well your skin adjusts to tanning depends on how many minutes that you should go up every week.

5. Most likely you will come out of the bed and be either white or red. About an hour later you will lose those colors and see a very very light trace of tan color.

When you go to sign up for your package, they will make you take a skin type quiz. Youu just answer the questions and that will determine your skin type. If you are skin type 1, they will set your minutes for you. However, if you are S.T. 2,3, or 4, then you can choose your own minutes. The oen thing that saved me from being a S.T. 1 was that my family is Greek, therefore I am a Mediterranean Islander. LOL. If your skin feels tender to the touch, take a day off of tanning. Your skin is burnt even though it may not look like it. Take 2 days off if you have to. When choosing a tanning lotion, Swedish Beauty is some of my favorite stuff. Use SB T2 to start off with. This will let your skin adjust to what is called Tingle Factor. Keep in mind that T Factor varies by brand. I use something called Titanium by John Abate, which is a T3. This stuff whips the @ss off of SB. When in doubt, take your time. You dont have to jump up to 20 minutes immediately.

Tanning usually costs 4 - 5 dollars per session on average. Unless you tan about every day it will not really lighten your hair much. For the first time you tan if you are fair skinned i would not recommend going more than 5 minuits no matter what type of bed you are using. No it shouldn't make your lips appear darker unless you burn them. And yes you should see a little results after one session but not too much, it should be a gradual tan. Just make sure you don't go too long and burn.
