Imagine this real life scenario, you're seeing someone, with personal hygeine issues -yet theyre dead house proud! saw this guy recently - he still whiffs about the place occaisionally,(no attack on men who dont have hygeine problems) comes in stinking of cows, and BO, some times, booze, doesnt oftne wash his hair, but despite claiming to shower daily - is a sweaty maggot, sometimes he doesnt wash his hair for weeks! But has a nice home - waht is this guys malfunction - and NO I wasnt the person who made him decide to stink. What is this guys aversion to smelling nice -baths/showring propeley, using shampoo, his favourite after shave it au de cow pong, with a hint of unwash, grease, B.O, and sometimes urine. I cant fathom the answer, thing is he can scrub up well, Im not getting at men - please dont think I am, just this one

For the romantic side of you, try this: "treat" him to a night that is "all his" - given that he obeys what you ask. Make him a nice meal, give him a cute (but worthy) foot massage, and then take him to the bath - where it's already drawn for him, plenty of bubbles. Have a kettle of extra to add as time goes by. Nothing strong smelling, but simple animal-fat & lye -based soap (if I read correctly that he's not into fragrances).

Slowly ease him into the water, then sponge bath him as you like (this is where you get to scrub him down good). Ask him questions about his life, and ask for more when he beak any new topic (people usually like to talk about themselves when not being made the fool).

Once this is all done, stand him up, towel him down, and let him be for a bit. Then, about 30 minutes later (give the jewels a time to cool down, trust a guy on this), ravage him! Only the next day can you hint that you *really* like him clean.

Ok, so perhaps you're not at the above point in the relationiship, but barring simply giving him the "clean up or get out" discussion, I cannot think of a more fun way to get clean. Hmm...time for a bath for my sweetie!

Tell him the ministry of health called and they want to know what died in the apartment...

If that's the way he wants to be... Learn to live with it or without him... Anyone with that little self respect... I'm sorry, you're a better person than I am for putting up with it this long...

There are too many normal guys out there for you to worry anymore with this one...

It sounds like he has a mental illness. I feel sorry for people who have to stay terminally filthy and smelly. Really, he has a disorder!
