I visited the while porcelain god at least 25 times in 4 hours and experienced stomach pains worse than being in labor. I didn't think the human body had that much fluid in it. Can that be a normal stomach flu? I still have the abdominal cramps but have not puked in 12 hours. What could it have been?

You might have food poisoning, or perhaps a stomach bacterial infection or a stomach virus (rotaviruses). You need time & rest & try to keep stomach quite empty. patience & prayer.

There are some BAD flu bugs out there this year and starting early! There is one called the Norfolk Virus which has the same symptoms that you describe. Many people are sick in nursing homes with signs now posted for visitors not to come in if they have had those symptoms in the past 24 hours. There's another one that starts with an earache then goes to the throat and ends up like an upper respiratory infection and lasts about 2-3 weeks. Hope you feel better soon!

I had that!!! Thought for sure I would die. I acutally got up out of my nice, warm bed in the middle of the night so I could take a shower and put on a clean t-shirt and undies. I wanted to be clean with pretty underware when they discovered my cold body the next day. It was one heck of a virus. Feel better soon.

Sounds like a serious bacterial infection of the stomach and small intestine.

Even though you're feelings better, see a doctor. It might not be over. And you are probably seriously dehydrated.

Girl..... New years eve 2000. I was so sick I was sweating and shaking all at the same time. I ended up just laying naked on the bathroom floor naked with a blanket all night. Dr said it was a flu virus and it had to just run its course. I feel for you.

Could be food poisoning. Drink plenty of fluids and if this does not get better soon, don't f*ck around, go see your doctor.

I have endured that horror twice in my life.
The first time it was stomach flu
The second time it was food poisoning (under-cooked sausage served at a Boy-Scout breakfast)

When that happened to me, it turned out I had salmonella. If you're not feeling better in a few days, you might want to see a doctor.
