sometimes you might ask a question and you don't know if the answer is really the correct answer so you put it up for a vote....Don't forget the reason you asked the question in the first place was because you don't know the answer.

I have noticed that a lot of those people are 1st time users. They come on here to ask a question, and nothing else. They do not know the system. Others might have more than one good answer that they do not which to choose so they let it go to popular vote. They there is the other group. Who knows what they think?? ha ha.

Some people are by nature inherently non-judgmental and don't want to pick favorites.
But more people are lazy and grab the first apparently workable answer and never look back to their own question -- and this kicks in a lot of voting decisions.
Thirdly, If a question receives a lot of snotty answers, the questioner may be offended and not want to view their own question anymore.

Some just looking for an answer and once they get it they OK!
Some may have a few answers they feel are good and not want to choose one over the other, so, they let others decide.
Some may just forget to pick a Best Answer.
Well, that all I know.

because so many people who ask questions are lonely and they want to receive concerns and sympathy. They don't care about their questions. They just feel happy from your answering.

bineusa,
I asked a few questions that I thought were very valid and informative.
The answers I received were insulting and BS.
I did not have the desire to review the answers to see which ones were best.
