I don't understand why we need secure borders. The native american indians didn't need them.

we are no longer living in the wild west and their are no cowboys or Indians riding horses. the native Americans would kill you if you were from another tribe and tried to encroach on their hunting grounds. maybe we should take that approach. the American Indians never had to deal with illegals crossing the border with drug and other illegal things. America is a sovereign nation and we don't want our borders crossed on a regular basis with out going through the proper channels.

Because the boarders weren't secure and the laws weren't enforced 9/11 happend and 3,000 people died in one day.

To control who enters this country as well as how many enter this country. To detour, prevent or slow down the number of terrorist entering this country. To detour, prevent or slow down the number of foreign criminals entering this country. Not to mention what a benefit is would be to slow down the drug trafficking and the associated crime it brings with it.

IS JUST TO GIVE PEOPLE A FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY THERE IS NO WAY TO TOTALLY SEAL AND SECURE THE BORDERS, THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A WAY TO GET THRU!!
