High Fructose Corn Syrup is main thing in soda that should discourage you from drinking it. Don't get me wrong there are many things inside a can of soda that are terrible, but take a close look at this particular item. I have included a few links that will make for some very interesting reading.

the words soda and nutrition don't go together. Soda equals crap when it comes to giving your body what it needs.

They all have carbonated water in it.
The diets you were talking about(like Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi) have aspartame in it.
And they probably have something like artificial flavor,color,etc.

all of the above product are very nutricious, I would sugest that you mix them around for a bit of variety....and if you alternate fulll strength with the diet yuo should have no problems with weight gain....they are all very good for your teeth too, and leave them sparking white.
