That's why I like to go to the nearest bar or pub on Sunday.
God is everywhere and you can't buy beer in church.

Yes; God is everywhere. I think that at least 70% of those who go to church, go in order to look good. They think that by going to church, they will be forgiven for the countless number of sins that they commit throughout the week. I don't go to church every week, but when I do go it's in order to learn about God/Jesus. I don't go in order to get into heaven; I go because I love God/Jesus and I want to learn about him. Church is a learning environment and if you think either wise than you really shouldn't go.

No you don't have to go to church to hear or be with God. Church is another word for a group of ppl that are coming together to worship and learn about him. In the bible Jesus had church at all kinds of different places. Believers would all gather together and Jesus would teach them. You can hear and be with God wherever you are.

We go to church in order to be in the presence of other believers, so that we can learn about God and his word, the Bible, and so we can worship him together. We Christians are commanded by God to meet with each other for worship, prayer, and Bible teaching.
This is the best way to grow spiritually. If we tried to be "Lone Rangers" we would probably get discouraged, or get deceived by the enemy.

Your right when you say that God is everywhere. Church is just a place where like-minded Christians gather together to worship, praise and sing to the Lord. It helps build up our faith.

You go to church to be with fellow Christians, to worship and fellowship. God is everywhere...except the heart of a non-believer. Okee-dokee?

God can be present to us in more than one way.
An example is that you can be present on the phone when someone picks it up on the other end, but you are present in a different way when you are there in person.
