First off you really dont want to mix sweet drinks with hard drinks. It gives you a killer hangover. Where I bartend (South Korea w/ the american soldiers) most of the females go for the hard drinks. Also keep in mind that some names will be different there than here. ^^
You want soft drinks?
Any sours (Midori, ameretto whiskey) are good.
Malibu or parrot bay with fruit juice is nice.
Melon Ball (midori, vodka and orange juice)
Royal F*ck (crown, peachschnapps, cran juice) is very smooth.
Hard drinks?
Jesus everything can be made into a hard drink. Just remember, drinks like a Long Island Ice Tea is almost a straight cup of alcohol, so lay off of those until you know that you can handle it.
Oh yeah, and as far as mixed drinks go- mixing carbonated sodas with alcohol (jack/rum/whaterver) can cause you to get drunk faster, because the sugar content.
And if your drunk, before you go to bed at night, stuff yourself with bread and when you wake up with a hangover, cont take tylenol, try to eat a banana and plenty of fruit juice and ion-supplement drinks like gatorade.

I turned 21 about 8 months ago, so I know the feeling.
I'm not sure if you are a drinker already or not...but if you're not...here are some good starters that are deliscious! My worse nightmare was my first and second time out I ordered stuff I HATED! And I wasnted the poor suckers money who bought it for me! Haha!

Amaretto Sour - All the sour drinks are sooo yummy
Lemon Drop
Red Headed Slut
Apple Martini - Pretty much ever Martini is deliscious...just dont do a dirty martini unless you like straight vodka
Rum and Coke - Yummy if you like coke, you can hardly taste the rum
Sprite and Rasberry Vodka - Its a little strong but it taste like a berry flavored sprite.
And if you really want to get messed up try a...
Four Horsemen - Trust me...you will be on your *** by the end of the night.
Three wiseman - A lighter version of the 4 Horsemen

I am not recommending all these, but it is something for you to consider. Drinks that are common will vary by region. The favorite in one town, might be something no one has ever had in a different one. There also tends to be trends in the drinks that are ordered. You can always ask either the bartender or other patrons what they enjoy.

Come on. Most people your age do not indulge in some exhotic drinks......they start with ....bud light or miller light. yak. If You like water and vinegar.......order your american light beers. your foreign beers are much better, and healthier for you. as far as mixed drinks go, go to a discount book store and pick up a BARTENDERS GUIDE BOOK. It has all the latest drinks. Make sure it is the latest edition. There are some very exhotic drinks, and are they gooooooooooood. Good luck to you, I hope you don't over do it on your birthday.

Dude or Dudette, simply rent the movie Cocktail with Tom Cruise. Man, there are so many drinks made and named in that movie that if you studied that movie for a week, you would be like a pro when ready to order on your 21st birthday. By the way, have a GREAT BIRTHDAY!!!

Screwdriver--OJ n Vodka
Pink Panties--Vodka, ice, n pink lemonade
Pink Socks--Tequila Rose n some other stuff--tastes good, and it will get you wasted after a bunch, but it's easy to drink
Or just some shots will do.
Tequila with a shot of lime and salt
Any kind of liquor with a soda as a chaser. Squirt works the best. Takes the nasty taste away quicker
