No, they are exempt from it as long as they work for as a civil servant

Hello,

I know that prosecutors can't because they are officers of the court and there would be a conflict of interest. Also, police officers are not supposed to be subpoenaed as well. I am also sure defense attorney's can not sit on a jury either.

Yes, they still Can! HOWEVER, since they 'work' in the court system, they are almost always "excused" from it.

And in cases where they "forget" to report on their assigned JD day, they are very UNlikely to have an FTA (Failure To Appear) appear on their driver's license record -- unless that court 'reports' it as such. And in the state of CA here, an FTA is = to a "warrant for your arrest" if the wrong ****** of a LEO pulls you over.

YES. I am an assistant D.A. and I can be on a jury, just not in the same courts I work in.

Yes, but they are likely to be disqualified on voir dire (when lawyers select a jury) due to their employment in the court system. Those who make it past voir dire can be impartial jurors.

i am a d.a. and i had to do jury duty. i forgot about it and they came and arrested me in court while i was prosocuting a criminal. they gave me the taser and beat me with their batons. my advice, just do it.

Usually considered pejudicial on crimal cases, but most likely get it for civil cases.

anyone can get called for jury duty it goes by your d.l., however they can egt out of it by stating their job
