The part where the comcast cable connects to the tv on the back, the little cylinder part snapped off, from too much twisting. Any specialists know a hing or two about what I can do?

I think it' s gonzo, buy another tv man!
Seriously, when it comes to electronic appliances, if they break, it's garbage . They build these things fragile so you can soon buy their new models. Plus sometimes, it comes off cheaper to just replace it. I'm sure you can find independant repairmen who can replace that part...I know which part you mean by the way.

really simple to replace. not even close to being "gonzo". You could do it yourself, if you have basic mechanical skills and some soldering skills,, as I think about it i remember that those usually go directly into the tuner, it should look like a little silver box, inside the back of the TV. A repair man could do it for probably about 40 or 50 bucks,, but he might tell you he wants to replace the whole tuner,, which would cost more,, it doesn't need to be replaced,, you could jerry-rig it to work with a R/S one,, all you gotta do is get the center conductor soldered to the point where the old one was and get a solid connection with the outer case to the steel cover plates on the tuner,, they are pretty sensitive and you don't need a perfect factory connection.

its not gonzo sometimes it can be replaced i would just buy the part and soldier a new one on what do you got to lose or you can buy a adapter of some kind and plug it in as composite some way i am not sure thow you didnt give enough info on the plug you can call the company and ask to help you but most likely theyll tell you it cant be fixed beacause they want $

get a replacement from any good tv/hardware shop, normally come in pairs and its just like a terrestial tv ariel connector. LF
