WOW! I just started 7th grade and my mom has gotten meaner ...i always say shutup and now that i am older she starts grounding me for it. I think my mom is getting meaner ! i told her i wanted to talk about what going on but she told me she didn't have time! I wrote her this REALLY long letter about 3 pages and when i gave it to her she read it really quickly (so i no she was fake reading) and she shoved it in her purse...and a while latter i found it in the trash! What is happening with me and my mom?

First of all, you are not going to get respect from your mother until you deserve it. Telling your mom to shut up is mean, so she has every right to ground you. It does not appear, from what you say, that she is being mean-it seems as though she might be fed up with your disrespect. She is trying to model you into a good, decent-human being.
I praise you for trying to reach out to her by writing a letter. That was a very smart thing to do. Writing your feelings down is an excellent thing to do, you get your release without the argument. When the issues are out there, then you two can talk.
Ask her if she had time to read the letter and whether you can talk about your issues. Later in life your mother can be your best friend, so don't give up on your relationship.
And be nice to your mother! :)

Your mom is probably tired of you telling her to shut up. You should just have a talk with your mom. Ask her what is going on? Try to start doing really nice things for her. Maybe clean your room, or help with the dishes. Little stuff like that help in a big way. Maybe your mom is truly upset about other stuff, again ask her. Find out what's really going on.

I was the same way with my mom at your age. I guarantee you you will be really close when you get older. Im sure she read the letter and she def. should have talked to you about it, but Im sure its just tough love. She prob. just wants to make sure she raises you right and its not easy for her. Especially when you tell her to shut up..
