The % indicates a space in the search engine. Try a different search engine like altavista or dogpile. If you have the same problem there, which browser version are you using? IE 7 is causing major problems on many pc's across America! Good Luck.

clear the form contents...
on internet explorer, go to "tools" then "internet options"
now click on the "content" tab and then the "autocomplete" button
and last, click on the "clear forms" button...then "ok" and you're pretty much done...
