I wash my hair usually every 2-3 days. It tends to get really greasy by the second day. I have long hair which gets greasier quicker than short. What are some ways for my hair to be less greasy? I tried baby powder and it helps, only that then my hair smells like it. (if u look closely, the colour slightly fades too)

I am exactly the same way.
I wash my hair everyday or every other day, and I dont use hair products on my scalp.
One big thing is that when you condition your hair, dont apply conditioner to your roots, only the bottom half of your hair. That helps A LOT.
One other thing I do if I dont have time to wash is I use hand sanitizer. People think that's gross but it works sooo incredibly well. It cleans your hair and soaks up all the grease. It's waay better than using baby powder in my opinion.
Oh and also, the biggest thing of all is what kind of shampoo you
use. IUse a clear one, like Herbal Esences (good for greasy hair) and stay away from ones like Dove that are creamy (they're meant for thin hair and makes it greasier)

I really hope this helps. I suffer greasy hair too so I know how you feel. :)

Well... IF you have naturally curly hair then you should know that you can't wash it everyday or else you'll have nothing but friz to work with making it impossible to style. It strips away the natural oils in your hair that is needed to keep it healthy... Try running it under cold water and letting it dry- it gets rid of the buildup and the grease.

I heard one hair stylist say that you don't need to wash your hair at all, then it'll take care of itself and oils will get under control (Go figure!), My hair gets greasy a bit too, I noticed the more you play with it, more oils it gets, and the smell is yucky too. I use Herbal Essense Refreshing Spray for a pleasant fresh aroma. :)

hte best way to prevent sebum from overtaking your hair is to rub scalp as little and as gently as possible as you glands are activated when you rub your scalp. there is also a shampoo from garnier fructis that is for greassy roots and dry end but whatever you do don't wash your hair mor eoften than you are now because you could be entering a catch 22 otherwise...

take showers every day then. i've read that's bad for hair, but i've never seen that theory proven. oh, and if you run your fingers through your hair a lot, don't do that either. unless you can't help it.
