when me and my bf grind do we go low and where do my hands go?

Depends on what you're grinding. For any sort of grains, I would recommend keeping one hand firmly on the mortar and the other on the pestle in order to avoid any injuries due to slippage.

when you grind, do what feels good. Each person enjoys different parts of it, so do what feels comfortable and you both like doing. Dont worry what everyone else wants, it is your time and your personal tastes.
