I am a travel agent and do many destination weddings.
No matter where you decide to get married, PLEASE, do not try to do it yourself. Every major Caribbean destination/resort has a wedding planning staff - their services are invaluable - I've seen brides become terribly stressed that have not used a planner.
Now, on to the question you asked - the best place. If your guests are all adults (no one under 18 permitted) I would recommend any of the three Sandals resorts on St. Lucia. If you've got some kids in the mix, just forget about Sandals, but look at other resorts on the island. Other "favorites" spots are: Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), Riviera Maya (south of Cancun, Mexico), and St. Thomas, (US Virgin Islands). The big advantage with St. Thomas, is that is a US territory and if you get married there, it considered to be in the US!
The only other pieces of advice I would leave with you are #1) use a travel agent that has experience working with destination weddings and wedding planners; #2) a more "upscale" and "all-inclusive" resort seems to yield the best, easiest, most memorable results.
Congratulations and enjoy the planning!

I observed a wedding ceremony during a week at Secrets Excellence in Punta Cana. The hotel has a special outdoor area for weddings, in view of the beach. When I spoke with the newlyweds, they told me that they had invited just a few close friends and family for the wedding (about a half dozen people altogether), but they planned to have a reception for a larger crowd upon their return home. That seemed like an economical way to do it, and the ceremony was nicely done.
Whatever you decide, may the two of you enjoy a wonderful lifetime together!

We had a family wedding on the island of St. Kitts. There are so many activities available there: water sports, scuba diving, golf, snorkelling, casino, secluded beaches, duty free shopping, rain forest hikes, and great restaurants.
The Bird Rock Beach Hotel offers a complimentary wedding ceremony for the bride and groom who stay a week or longer. There are several places to wed: a beautiful wedding garden with an archway, a gazebo, or on the beach.

Jamaica, without a doubt! The oceans are blue, the flowers are bright and scented the beauty of the island is wonderful. I would do it thru a travel agent and also do a all inclusive resort like super clubs or sandals. There is alot of paper work and the agent will do it all for you. Once you go to Jamaica you will go back for years to come! It's like going home..............

do no longer do it! This sounds like a catastrophe waiting to take place. trip spot weddings are seen to be in very undesirable style by way of fact of each and all the undue burdens they place on all people who needs to attend. the cost and time in touch for return and forth, lodging, and scheduling conflicts all upload up. some will sense harm that they are able to't attend by way of expenses or well being concerns. whether kin says they are effective with it , have self assurance me, they'll resent it interior the long-term. each and every physique that I actual have ever common that has had a trip spot wedding ceremony has regretted it. that is variety of like taking the finished wedding ceremony occasion on your honeymoon! with regard to the only ones who look to love the assumption are those interior the return and forth industry. Couples in many circumstances get suckered right into a trip spot wedding ceremony via those wedding ceremony gala's. One gimmick is to "bait" the couple via offering their lodging unfastened in the event that they get adequate suckers... I advise travellers, to e book by a definite venue. whether that gimmick isn't in touch, that is seen impolite and egocentric to place return and forth and lodging burdens on those you care approximately. do no longer fall for it. Have a close-by wedding ceremony with a trip spot honeymoon.
