Christians believe that Jesus fulfilled the Law of Moses. Therefore Christians are not held to the ceremonial parts of the Mosaic Law concerning of dietary purity and temple worship.

Christians are held to the moral law of God, some of which is expressed in the Ten Commandments.

The first Christians were Jews. They went to temple or synagogue on the Sabbath (Saturday) with fellow Jews.

Then they gathered on the first day of the week, the day on which Jesus rose from the dead (Sunday), with fellow Christians to tell stories of Jesus and share Eucharist. See Acts 20:7.

Later Gentiles joined Christianity. The Apostles, filled with the Holy Spirit, decided that the Gentiles did not have to covert to Judaism. Therefore, they only attended on Sundays and did not have to abide by Jewish dietary laws.

Christians believe that Jesus' Resurrection has changed the Lord's Day to Sunday.

This has been the practice ever since.

With love in Christ.

You are no longer required to do this commandment for now. We are under the New Covenant. By the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in God's sight!!! Let no man judge you in regard to a holy day.

Are we under the Ten Commandments?
WHAT LAWS does Jehovah God wand us to obey? Must wekeep what the Bible calls "the law of Moses" or sometimes,"the Law"?(1Kings2:3 :Titus3:9) This is also called "the law of Jehovah," because he is the one who gave it.(1Chronicles16:40) Moses merely delivered the Law to the people.
The law of Moses consists of more than 600 individual laws,or commandments, including the 10 main ones. As Moses said:"He (Jehovah)commanded you to perform, even 10 commandments;and he wrote them upon two tables of stone."(Deutronomy4:13, KJV) But to whom did Jehovah give the Law, including the ten commandments? Did he give it to all humankind? What was the purpose of the Law?
The Law was not given to all humankind. Jehovah made a covenant, or agreement, with the descendants of Jacob, who became the nation of Israel. Jehovah gave his laws to this nation only. The Bible makes this clear at Deutronomy5:1-3 and Psalm147:19,20.
The apostle Paul asked the question:"Why, then, the Law?"Yes, for what purpose did Jehovah give his law to Israel? Paul answered:"To maketransgressions manifest, until the seed should arrive to whom the promise had been made....Consequently the Law has become our tutor{or teacher} leading to Christ."(Galatians3:19-24) The special purpose of the Law was to protect and guide the nation of Israel so they may be ready to accept Christ when he arrived. The many sacrifices reminded the Isrealites that they were sinners who needed a Saviour.(Hebrews10:1-4)
CHRIST IS THE END OF THE LAW
Jesus Christ, of course, was that promised Saviour, even as the angel proclaimed at his birth.(Luke2:8-14)o when Christ came and gave his perfect life as a sacrifice, what happened to the Law? It was removed. "We are no longer under a tutor," Paul explained.(Galatians3:25) The removal of the Law was a relief to the Israelites. It had shown them up as sinners, for all of them fell short of keeping that Law perfectly. "Christ by purchase released us from the curse of the Law," Paul said.(Galatians3:10-14) So the Bible also says: "Christ is the end of the Law."(Romans10:4 ;6:14) The Law actually served as a barrier or wall between the Israelites and other peoples who were not under it. By the sacrifice of his life however, Christ abolished....the Law of two peoples[Israelite and non-Israelite] in union with himself into one new man."(Ephesians2:11-18).
