In the Bible earthquakes, floods, and droughts were all thought to come from God, now science tells us there is a reason for eveything. I don't understand why there aren't shows of God's powers anymore, or are there and we simple over look them, and look to science for an answer.

Who says science isn't part of Gods plan?
Look around you at Gods beauty. Birth for an example. The birth of a baby, the birth of a tiny animal, the birth of a flower just getting ready to bloom.

People years ago didn't know how to explain these kinds of things. Science has helped to explain, in great detail, the wonders of God.

The scientists that I know are are extremely spiritual and in great awe of God.
I don't understand why people want to put God and science as opposing one an other.

Curiosity about the reasons things occur does not constitute a wish to disprove God. In fact, God doesn't enter the picture. It's way too easy to understand that floods, droughts and earthquakes come from meteorological & climatological shifts and plate techtonics. No matter where you end up, the scientist is going to ask, "so what caused that to happen?"

So even if you assert "God caused it," scientists will ask, "what caused God to do that? What caused God at all?" And the power of that curiosity will drive us to keep looking for the reasons things happen. And I assert, there is not likely to be a deity at the end of any of these chains.

Science, by definition, is the study of the natural universe. God and anything supernatural lies absolutely outside the purview of science. No scientist, speaking as a scientist, can say anything about God one way or the other. That's why a scientist who is Christian, another who is Muslim, and another who is atheist can make the same scientific observations, and reach the same scientific conclusions. God simply has nothing to do with it. Science cannot prove or disprove the existence of God, nor is any scientist interested in doing so.

Maybe they weren't ever god to begin with. Maybe people just didn't understand what they were seeing.

Science isn't out to disprove god - the point of science is to figure out natural causes for things. Since any god would be supernatural, science has nothing to say on it - except that there has never been any proof of the supernatural actually existing.

Just because science can explain certain things in our environment via advances in the field of science; does not mean that science wants to do away with God.

There are many, many, things in this world that are unexplainable-- things that science has no explanation for. I am not saying these unexplained things are the hand of God. I am just saying it is OK to still believe in God, even if you do have a scientific understanding of thunder storms!

Science is our understanding of how God makes things work. Some, though, try to explain science as being an accident instead of giving Him the credit.

The purpose of science is not to disprove the existence of god, it is to discover the truth about our world, our solar system, galaxy, and the universe. If along the way science discovers something that is contrary to a religious view, or belief system, then those that the discovery effects should be grateful because it gives them the opportunity to re-evaluate their beliefs and adjust them accordingly.

Satan wants science to plant doubts in people's minds so that they will turn from God. He would like nothing more. It's the system of things. Satan doesn't want people to see the shows that show the power of God.

There are, and i know one man who wrote a book showing proof of God, he just uses natural ways to do things. If you want to learn more you should read"The Creator and the Cosmos" by Hugh Ross, he has a PH.D in science. It truly is a great book.

science does not want to disprove god, man does.

the bible is a book of fables from long ago. how could you take a book so literally and expect to internalize it. It sounds like you're driving yourself crazy.
