As some have said it means something that progressively gets worse over time. There are different forms of degeneration, it is not limited to the bones only.
I have maccular degeneration. Which means I will eventually lose most if not all my eyesight as my age progresses.

My father had spinal degeneration as did my mothers mom.

Degenerative disease is usually used to explain bone loss which occurs as we grow older. There are some diseases of the bone that are specifically called this.

what do you want to know. degenerative just means that it will progressively get worse, and there is probably not a cure, only treatment of the symptoms

give some more info here ......like in degenerative joint disease like osteoarthritis where your joint degenerate ,which means you are losing the cartilage in between which can lead to pain and discomfort
